Overcoming the Killer Mountain – The K2 Disaster of 2008

Lake House Visuals partnered with Dutch mountaineer Wilco van Rooijen to create a professional, high-quality interview production exploring one of the most tragic events in modern mountaineering history: the 2008 K2 disaster.

During this devastating expedition, eleven climbers lost their lives on the world's second-highest mountain. Among those caught in the unfolding tragedy was Wilco van Rooijen himself, who faced an extraordinary fight for survival in some of the harshest conditions imaginable.

Through an exclusive and in-depth interview, this production brings his personal experiences, memories and perspective to life. The project was developed to capture not only the dramatic events of that expedition, but also the human story behind them — the decisions, challenges, determination and will to survive.

With a cinematic approach, professional interview techniques and carefully crafted visuals, Lake House Visuals aimed to create a compelling documentary-style production that does justice to the significance of this extraordinary story.
